“After the great international success of former competitions of the event, the next session of the exhibition will bring many various contests,” said Abdullah Al-Qubaisi, Director of ADIHEX.
The contests include the art of making Arabic coffee; best Nabati poems describing falcons and hunters; best research on Arab hunting and horsemanship; most beautiful paintings of hunting, horses, and heritage; most beautiful photographs of equestrianism and heritage, and Saluki beauty contest (of Rish and Hos categories). The deadline for submissions is on the first of September, 2009.
Qubaisi said the event will also include an accompanying programme of diverse cultural and heritage activities, which is expected to attract tens of thousands of visitors and advocates of traditional sports.
Most popular of those programmes are the falcon, horse and camel auctions, in addition to traditional events for children and youth, organised by ADACH annually and aimed to preserving the cultural heritage of Abu Dhabi for future generations.
